The Marketer magazine this week has some fascinating research on mobiles:
Nomophobia is the fear of having no access to mobile technology
According to gazelle.com, 40% of apple users would prefer to give up coffee rather than their mobile. 18% would give up bathing!!
7am till 9am and 7pm to 9pm are the optimum times to reach people on their mobiles.
The market for adornment of handsets with accessories is set to grow to £56 billion by 2018.
66% of smartphone users sleep with their phone next to them.
Now, you may or may not have such a relationship with your phone as huge swathes of the population have, but if you are looking at your marketing, it cannot be ignored in your strategic marketing mix. Check out the Marketer mag for more on this.
