Almost 1000 buyers in Scotland - all looking for tourism product

At VisitScotland Expo this week, there were something in the region of 100 buyers from UK and overseas, all looking to contract with Scottish companies for their tours, group visits etc.  For the companies that attended it was an ideal opportunity to interact with buyers they would not normally get the chance of speaking to.  There were buyers from Australia, Mexico, Baltic States, USA etc.   Someone at VisitScotland did a sterling job in getting those buyers into Scotland when the competition from other countries is fierce.  For the companies interested in increasing their inward export business, let’s hope they worked at pre planning their pitch, stopping customers, interfacing with them and then following up on the deals!!
