B to B partnerships, Channel Management, Distribution plans

14/05/2010

Call it by whatever name you choose, this is an area of business that can really put products and services right in the sight lines of your customers.  Planned activities with the trade can get products on to the shelf speedily, and if marketing has been effective, the customers will then have easy access to your products and services.

Build distribution; - expand you tendrils in both home and international markets etc.
Many companies do not maximise the benefit of trade marketing activity and treating this as a separate target market. – influencing the trade buyers who in turn will influence their own groups of customers.

Trade buyers come in many forms – agents distributors, wholesalers, franchisees – all of whom with the correct collateral, product knowledge and information can do a great job for you.

Russell Ferguson is a contractor on the Scottish Enterprise Channel Management programme available to SE Account managed companies.
