Facebook, Twitter etc and organising it!!!

21/05/2010

Social networking opportunities are huge.  They provide a means of dialogue with groups of people interested in your sector and as such, the cost of interaction with them is low in comparison to the more traditional elements of advertising and print.  The cost of advertising space is replaced with the need to have a person sitting ‘tweeting’ and ‘face booking’ on a regular basis as part of their job.

Advertising and print are of course still superb media formats however to build your brand in the mind of potential customers, to engage with possible customers, to drive sales and to position your company.  The big boys do both.  Just think of Marks and Spencer’s simply food campaigns that drive customers into stores to purchase 2 for £10.  After we are caught as a customer they want to e mail, facebook, twitter etc. with us.

This constant and continuous effort really needs a marketing department.  Do you have one?  If not, who is the marketing person in your business who has to spend time a day a week doing nothing but marketing and developing sales.
