Taking advantage of current trends

The basic tenet of marketing is to look at current trends and to position your organisation to take advantage of these trends. Sometimes these trends need to be researched, sometimes it is obvious!

 

 

A good example this week was some publicity around ‘My Scotland’ a business set up by Visit Scotland to encourage hospitality and business to promote ‘staycations’. This was built on the back of volcanic ash and striking airlines providing an opportunity which Visit Scotland have looked to exploit.
