When the going gets tough…

The press as usual is full of the difficulties facing the economy and the bad trading conditions we are going to encounter.  In situations like these, organisations have options, one of which is to do nothing and hope it gets better. Another is to get out there and make sure that the numbers of opportunities are increased.  As a fellow salesman, Johnny Leach once said to me “YOU CANT DO BUSINESS SITTING ON YOUR Axxx!!”  Quite apart from any commercial profit motive, most businesses have a real duty to the people who work for them in positions where they are not able to directly influence outcomes.

 

Examine sales and order processes, ensure that all staff know how to sell and influence a sale. Provide a fresh look at the sales and business development issues, enhance the customer service.  All these activities involve very little input.  One recent RFM client saw sales turnover growing from the moment they had undertaken such a review.
